New article - Understanding Brand Obama

It's Presidents' Day here in the United States (Washington's Birthday is the actual federal holiday), so I decided to weave our new President into a short article on brands. Please don't expect similar treatments in future articles; e.g. St. Patrick, the Easter Bunny, Mothers, etc. Also, this is definitely not a political rant, so please don't feel the need to respond as if it were. :)  Thanks.

Great piece Tom! In my opinion, winning the youth vote was definitely a double edged sword. When you live in a world where you get your news from Jon Stewart, a 'friend' is someone you link to on Facebook, Bon Jovi is Classic Rock, you text people who are sitting right next to you, and gratification that is not immediate builds dissatisfaction, 4 years is a REALLY LONG TIME. As they start to figure out that 'change' is all relative and things in Washington don't move all too fast (and when they do, it usually is not a good thing), the euphoria is going to give way to realism. And the reality is that things suck right now and are going to get worse before they get better. Time will tell and I have no idea whether President Obama will deliver the goods, but it is fairly certain that Brand Obama is in for a bumpy road.

Thanks Len. That comment was hilarious! And the only thing that helps him is that we all have VERY short memories today.
