Meeting Grant McCracken, a fellow brand strategist, blogger, and incredibly nice guy. Priceless!
There are some things that money can buy (like a full-conference pass to Adweek). For the truly insightful, there's dialogue with smart, media and tactic agnostic marketers.
I learned more in 2 hours with Grant, than I did in 2 days at Adweek. In fact, I was shocked by the collective mindset I encountered at the conference. You can read a little bit here: Marketing Practices Should Not Be Defined By Media. Suffice it to say that things haven't really changed as much as everyone would like to believe.

Tom, I have two of Grant's books (Flock and flow and Culture and consumption I)and even if I have not taken time to read them properly I think both books are original and provide value nto the reader.
