The Business of Belief: Why We Believe What We Believe in Business and Life
"The golden rule for every business man is this: Put yourself in your customer's place."
Which means that you should NEVER do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That particular rule simply isn't relevant for our postmodern, heterogeneous culture. Instead, you should do unto others as others want uniquely done onto them.

Actually, the statement is flawed...!! Why "business Man" and not "Business Woman" or "business person" ?? The very nature of the statement articulates -the essense of discrimination in the sphere of business 101 !! Times are changing.. Women power is the main power..
Btw: I dont disagree with you view points.. on "do unto others as others want uniquely done onto them."- Personlized marketing is what its coming down too !!

Hi Tom and pd - great exchange ....
You both will have come across this I am sure .. I would sign up to this ..... the book is just fantastic in case you haven't read it
“A woman knows her children’s friends, hopes, dreams, romances, secret fears, what they are thinking, how they are feeling and usually, what mischief they are plotting.
Men are vaguely aware of some short people also living in the house.”
From the book;
“Why men don’t listen and women can’t read maps” (Allan and Barbara Pease)
