Howard Thurman on what the world needs

"Do not ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive. For what the world needs is more people who have come alive."

We are going to see an explosion in the number of business start-ups during the second half of this decade.  Many will open shop in hopes of making a lot of money.  Most will simply hope for freedom from the dispassionate agitation of the corporate world.  But a few - the successful few - will innovate in an area that truly lights their fire.  Be one of those few!

Great way of looking at it.

One thing that makes me come alive is live music.

One business idea I like to float around is an internet radio station devoted exclusively to live content. There might be a featured live show, or shows, streaming in real time each night. The rest of the time, DJs could draw from the station's vast live music library--a catalog, not incidentally, created by the station's listeners via their ftp submissions.

As someone who has made a leap of faith from a secure career for 35 years in healthcare here in the UK .... to self employment ... I have to agree with you Tom.

Yes ..... it is a scary ride but at least I am in control rather than a passive recipient ...the liberation is what I neded

Stay passionate my friend
